This role is part of the senior leadership team of a 650M USD global business, focusing on shaping and executing a sales strategy and managing teams across the continent. Here you will be ensuring all activities are effectively promoted and aligned with product leadership priorities.

The roles and responsibilities for Head of Commercial role are :

  • Set up structured sales meeting processes, KPI tracking, action list monitoring, and CRM oversight.
  • Develop and maintain a strong governance framework for the function within the senior leadership.
  • Manage the commercial review process with internal stakeholders.
  • Provide effective support to sales teams, central contacts, and tender teams.
  • Maintain relationship and participate in commercial activities for key clients.
  • Build a positive environment with external stakeholders such as industry bodies, customers, suppliers, partners, and potential acquisition candidates.
  • Identify, propose, and execute initiatives to improve organisational professionalism.
  • Assist senior leadership with research and preparation for various assignments.
  • Perform additional duties as delegated by senior management or required for the role.

To be successful in this Head of Commercial role :

  • Demonstrated leadership managing large teams ideally distributed across multiple European countries.
  • Have operated as a Head of or Director within Sales, Commercial, Business Development or Account Management
  • Data-focused and result-driven, with experience setting KPIs, monitoring performance, and using reporting tools to ensure accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Effective people manager who fosters motivation, development, and collaboration while aligning with diverse stakeholder needs.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to design and execute business and sales strategies in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Comfortable taking ownership, working autonomously, and adapting quickly to changing business requirements.
  • Open to both experienced senior professionals and emerging leaders with proven management potential and ambition.
  • Knowledge of logistics, freight solutions or transport operations
  • Have P&L oversight, and commercial/customer management.
  • Proven experience in senior leadership roles.
