Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Take ownership of entire sections of the backend.

  • Validate technologies and approaches to achieve development objectives.

  • Collaborate across teams and departments to ensure business objectives are achieved.

  • Mentor and guide other developers.

  • Craft the tech stack, data model, and developer experience.

  • Improve engineering standards, tooling, and processes

Requirements and qualifications:

You will likely have:

  • 6+ years of experience building successful production software systems

  • Familiarity with backend technologies and concepts such as RESTful or GraphQL APIs, Application Security (Authentication/Authorization), Data Security/Compliance, and DevOps best practices.

  • Thrive in an environment of autonomy and ownership and are aware of how the decisions you make and the patterns you create impact the rest of the product architecture.

  • Experience with Postgres or a similar database technology

  • Experience with cloud-based web applications and complex data models

  • Experience implementing cloud solutions (e.g. AWS, GCP)

  • Current Tech Stack and Nice to Have Skills: .NET Core, Node.js, PostgreSQL, GraphQL (Hasura), Docker, GCP

  • Bonus: experience working in startups, especially telehealth.
