Technical Lead / Lead Platform Developer – The NXT Cloud The Hague (Hybrid)

Through our Active Esports Arena (AEA) and The NXT Fit, we develop technology that literally gets people moving. Our solutions are used across sports, education, health and wellbeing, and are developed in collaboration with partners from government, telecom, education and innovation sectors.
We are also a partner in the Dutch FNS 6G programme, where industry leaders, researchers and innovators explore how future networks can enable new forms of interaction, collaboration and societal impact.
To help shape the next phase of our growth, we are looking for an experienced developer who wants to do more than build software — someone who wants to help define the technical direction of our platform.
You will play a key role in the development of The NXT Cloud: the central platform behind our locations, users, data and services.
Databases and cloud infrastructure
- Online player portals
- Future AI-powered and data-driven products
Important: this role is not focused on VR game development. You will be building the platform, infrastructure and digital ecosystem that powers everything around it.
We’re looking for someone who wants to help build the technical future of our platform.
Perhaps we’ll adopt a different architecture, cloud strategy or platform approach in the future.
Mentor junior developers where needed
- Help shape new products from concept to implementation
- Work with the team to build a scalable ecosystem for the years ahead
You likely have at least 5 years of experience building and maintaining production-grade software systems.
Strong full-stack development experience
- Experience with cloud platforms and databases
- Familiar with Git, CI/CD and modern development workflows
- Affinity with sports, gaming, XR or interactive technologies
